In a decisive move to resolve long-standing challenges, Sinazongwe Town Council has procured and delivered four state-of-the-art, high-capacity electric pots for Maamba Boarding Secondary School (MBSS).
This intervention directly addresses the critical food preparation delays that have impacted the school’s daily schedule.
The school’s administration has expressed profound relief and gratitude. According to Deputy Headteacher Mr. Choolwe Hamainza, the new equipment is a game-change
“As school management, we were unable to purchase or replace the old pots due to limited funds,” Mr. Hamainza stated.
The government, through Sinazongwe Town Council, has provided a solution far beyond our expectations.
“The old pots had become a significant operational hurdle. They provided more problems instead of solutions,” Mr. Hamainza explained, noting persistent leakages that wasted oil, increased costs, and drastically slowed down cooking. This led to major setbacks in the kitchen, threatening to destabilize the school’s daily program flow.
“The new electric pots will be equal to the task,” he affirmed. “They will make food preparation easier, less time-consuming, and will finally allow us to adhere to our feeding schedules.” Mr. Hamainza extended his thanks to Sinazongwe Town Council and the Government for their timely response and delivery.
Procured at a total cost of K454,500.00 from the 2025 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocation, the four new pots boast a significantly larger capacity than the outdated ones, ensuring efficient and timely meal preparation for the pupils.
